Experience
Prior to becoming a tutor, I attended both Flagler College and Walden University, earning a bachelor's degree in elementary and deaf education, a master's degree in curriculum and instruction, and an educational specialist certificate in teacher leadership. I am able to tutor in subjects like algebra, literature, elementary and middle school math, reading, English, and phonics. I also provide summer tutoring and special education options for my students.My education, along with my ten years of teaching experience and two years working as a tutor in a variety of settings, makes me the ideal candidate to assist your child as he or she works toward his or her educational goals. I am devoted to this cause and experienced with a number of different teaching strategies. My teaching methods are conventional, yet highly effective, and I am excited for the opportunity to work with your young learner in the future.Whenever I have some time away from the classroom, you might find me riding a horse, spending time at the theater, window shopping, reading books, traveling, playing with my pet Maggie, writing poetry, or watching The Big Bang Theory, which happens to be my favorite television show.
